| San Jose, Calif. - Continuing its leadership position in advocating for the rights of IPF patients nationwide, the Coalition for Pulmonary Fibrosis (CPF) recently endorsed the elimination of the Medicare 24 month wait period for people with disabilities, including those with IPF. In an open letter to House Ways and Means Committee Members on April 11, 2007, the Medicare Rights Center asked for the 24 month wait period act to be eliminated, thereby allowing all those who have been deemed disabled by the Social Security Administration (SSA) to immediately receive their Medicare benefits.
